What We Do

  • Community & Support: We foster a welcoming environment where members can connect, share experiences, and support each other through online groups and in-person events.
  • Events: The association organises regular networking opportunities, both online and face-to-face, including special screenings, discussions, and social gatherings.
  • Awards: Each December, our members vote in the annual Film Critics Association UK Awards, recognising outstanding achievements in film and television. We also publish our Top 100 Films and celebrate the best in cinema as chosen by our critics.
  • Promotion: We actively promote our members’ work across our own and affiliate social media profiles, helping to amplify critical voices and reach wider audiences.
  • Professional Development: Through workshops, panels, and mentorship, we support the growth and development of film critics throughout the UK.
